About Us

Northamptonshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) is the independent voice of the voluntary youth sector for Northamptonshire. NCVYS is a diverse network of over 50 voluntary youth organisations. Through our membership NCVYS co-ordinates direct support to professionals working in voluntary and community sector (VCS) agencies and to volunteers who provide direct support to the young people of Northamptonshire.

Our aims are to:

• Improve the quality and standards of work with young people by developing and promoting best practice
• Represent its members to influence public policy that impacts the lives of young people and the voluntary youth sector
• Raise the profile of NCVYS and the voluntary youth sector by developing networks that can share best practice
• Share information between the voluntary youth sector and statutory bodies
